BEACONSFIELD
 |
St. Mary's and All Saints Church, Beaconsfield |
Situated in the south of Buckinghamshire, the Beaconsfield constituency covers the whole of the South Bucks district, as well as parts of Wycombe and Marlow. The town of Beaconsfield is just one part of a constituency that covers a number of settlements including Burnham, Denham, Stoke Poges, Bourne End and Flackwell Heath. Part of the London commuter belt, the area has good transport links and borders Uxbridge in the west of the capital.
Beaconsfield constituency is mainly rural, and parts of it sit in the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is the home of the Bekonscot model village and the National Film and Television School.
The seat was famously contested by former Prime Minister, Tony Blair in a 1982 by-election.
